100 Essential Level

The Red Bag contains 100 booklets covering 12 different topics.

Each booklet is 8 pages long. Every page has simple text and colorful illustrations.

The authors have used 525 different characters in writing the 100 stories that make up the Red bag. These booklets are suitable for children who are just beginning to learn Chinese.

100 Intermediate Level

The Yellow Bag contains 100 booklets covering 16 different topics.

Each booklet is 8 pages long. Every page has simple text and colorful illustrations.

The authors have used 340 new characters in addition to the 525 characters introduced in the prior series in writing the 100 stories that make up the Yellow Bag. These booklets are suitable for children who have finished reading the Beginner Level stories.

100 Advanced Level 

The Green Bag contains 100 booklets covering 6 different topics.

There are 12 pages with colorful illustrations in each booklet. The authors have used 230 new characters in addition to the 865 characters introduced in the prior series in writing the 100 stories that make up the Green Bag. These booklets are suitable for children who have finished reading the Beginner level and the Intermediate level stories.

When children have finished reading all the 100 stories in the Green Bag, it is anticipated they will have grasped the basic reading skills and the most commonly used 1000 Chinese characters.
