The free version gives you complete books from all three levels of the Le Le Chinese reading system, without sound. The audio version adds Mandarin narration, so you can watch how your child responds as they listen and read. After you've tried it, what we recommend most is pre-ordering the physical books. Turning the pages, holding the book and tapping with the Reading Pen is the most complete way to learn. E-books are a handy extra for travel and days out. We suggest waiting until age 7 or older before starting e-books. For younger children, physical books with the Reading Pen work best.

Le Le books go by reading level. Red Books (Basic) are for children starting Chinese from zero. Yellow Books (Intermediate) are for children who already have a foundation. Green Books (Advanced) are for the more advanced reading stage. The Experience Set helps you find the level that fits your child.
